You can start by looking into local or online activist groups. Below, I’ll discuss one of the many groups that are out there. This one is called the Association of Women’s Rights in Development.
This group is an “international, feminist, membership organization committed to achieving gender equality, sustainable development, and women’s human rights”. They are based online and have several links to different topics and priority areas. These include resourcing women’s rights, challenging religious fundamentalisms, economic justice, women’s human rights defenders, and young feminist activists. They create a safe space to discuss any and all topics related to feminism. Anybody can join and become a member. AWID is a great resource for those looking into become more active in their communities and even on a larger scale.
