While attempting to research more about intersectionality, I came across this interesting video; “Kids Explain Intersectionality”. Out of curiosity and excitement that people of all ages are learning more on this topic I decided to watch it. Right off the bat it had a woman describe intersectionality and how it is a concept that allows for people to live “multidimensional lives”. As said perfectly by the kid in the video, it is like “A big puzzle from your head to your toes”. I loved that definition because it allows from anyone to understand that we are all composed of different factors and we need to understand that it is what makes us who we are, whether it be race or gender (etc). White striked me the most from this video is the comments listed (notice on the right). In today’s society, how are we supposed to become more socially aware and understand each others differences if it is not imposed in younger generations?
